Site-less
SITE-LESS investigates place, belonging, and cross-cultural identity within the experience of migration. The installation approaches belonging not as attachment to a fixed place or identity, but as a condition of existing in-between places.
Using wire mesh, architectural forms, and spatial divisions, the work constructs an unstable urban environment where boundaries appear simultaneously present and absent. As structures overlap and dissolve through transparency, distinctions between inside and outside, foreground and background become difficult to locate.
Rather than simply representing displacement, SITE-LESS uses spatial disorientation, permeability, and emptiness to explore how identity and belonging are continually negotiated and reconstructed.
