Shifting Boundaries
2021 Wall-supported sculptural installation Shifting Boundaries investigates the boundary as a spatial and social construct rather than a fixed line of separation. Through transparency, overlapping structures, and shifting perspectives, the work examines how boundaries are produced, perceived, and renegotiated through our relationship to space.
Positioned between sculpture and architecture, the installation uses spatial perception as a method for exploring mobility, displacement, and belonging. As its forms change according to the viewer’s position, the boundary becomes unstable and relational—simultaneously separating and connecting spaces.
The work forms part of an ongoing sculptural inquiry into how spatial structures shape experiences of place, identity, and belonging.
